Motebong Villa Maseru

In the month of June 2023 Motebong Tourism Investment Holdings (PTY)Ltd, the parent company to Motebong Lodge on Katse dam, launches a villa in the suburb of Maseru West in the capital Maseru.

The Villa, 3km from Maseru border post is situated in a quiet and secure street in Maseru west, a suburb that houses the state house and numerous diplomatic residences.  It is less than 10 minutes’ drive to the CBD, the government and UN enclaves, with the Royal Palace and the National Museum 1.4km away.

The villa has easy access to historical and tourist attractions of Thaba Bosiu the seat of King Moshoeshoe I, Morija and the Royal village of Matsieng as well as Maletsunyane falls for self-drive tours. Tour operators are also available upon request.

The property offers free WIFI, premium DSTV, a two bathrooms, lounge and dining area as well as an outside sitting area.The north facing three bedroomed house with two bathrooms enjoys ample winter sunshine, making it comfortable even during the harsh winter days.

The kitchen is fully kitted and with the state-of-the-art braai stand available on site, there is an opportunity to prepare a home meal when not exploring the nearby restaurants.

The rest of the house takes the form of a photo gallery, with photos of historical and other places of interest as well the birds and flowers of Lesotho.

Self Catering Accommodation

Katse Dam - Lesotho

Accommodation at the mountain lodge is made up of fully-furnished and fully-equipped self catering cottages of varying sizes and accommodating a varying number of people. These cottages are heated with coal or electric and gas stoves, which is critical during the winter months. They are cleaned daily by our housekeeping staff with the exception of a couple of days when the staff is also given time off

Motebong has committed itself to recruiting from Ha Lejone and will continue to do so where the skills and experience is there. With the exception of the Chef, all our staff are from Ha Lejone and surrounds, and have been given the necessary training for the roles they occupy at Motebong. This is a practice that Motebong will continue to pursue for as long as is possible into the future.
