The surrounding roads and tracks offer the off-road enthusiasts the opportunity to try their skills at varying degrees of difficulty, whether this be for 45 minutes or longer half-day and day-long trips. Those interested in 4x4 or 4-wheel drive excursions, or those interested in scramblers, Quad biking or indeed in mountain biking will find themselves incredibly busy in the highlands surrounding Motebong Village.
 
These highlands are often frequented by biker groups and 4x4 enthusiasts
belonging to different groups around South and Southern Africa, and the
occassional casual passers-by. After a gruelling trip from Letseng La
Terae across to Katse, the visitors meet the main tarred road at Ha
Lejone, and Motebong Village. An 'oasis' in these highlands!
 
Please remember that most of these excursions are not for the
faint-hearted and Motebong Village will also endeavour to find routes
for beginners as well. For those bikers who prefer tarred roads, we
would like to see you too - only 2 kilometers of gravel road to the
lodge. Guests are reminded to bring/use their own vehicles at this
stage.
